Employer Registration

2 We are a hiring employer; how do we register to share our career opportunities?

Please follow this link https://form.jotform.com/242672328829062 to register your entity in our recruitment services, our team will review your profile and once it’s approved you will receive your login credentials on the e-mail address submitted in the registration form.

3 How long does it take to review the employer profile registration?

In normal cases, it takes around 5 working days to receive your credentials, if the submitted data is not complete or not clear, the process would take longer duration.

Students & Alumni Registration

4 Can anyone access the portal?

The portal is exclusive to the students and alumni of the GUC and its officially associated entities.

5 Do I need to register to access the portal?

Yes, all users will need to register on the landing page to access the portal, a verification e-mail will be sent to you confirming the account creation.

6 Is it a must to register with GUC domain?

Yes, the registration is only considered using the GUC domain or its officially associated entities, whether for students or alumni.

7 How do I create my alumni e-mail?

Visit http://student.guc.edu.eg/alumni/AlumniRegWelcome.aspx and follow the steps, after the successful creation you will be able to register on the portal.

8 I just graduated, how do I register?

You should sign-up using your student e-mail until the alumni e-mail is created.

9 Can I login using my laptop, phone or tablet?

Yes, you can login from any device as long as it is connected to the internet. However, for the best user experience, a laptop or desktop is recommended.

10 I am having difficulty logging-in or accessing the Portal, what can I do?

Check your login credentials. If you have an issue logging-in, you can reset your password on the landing page, and try logging in again. If you are not a graduate or students of the GUC or any of its officially associated entities, you will not be able to register.

Job/Internships Applications

11 Does the SCAD office ensure the placement of the student/graduate in the vacancy?

The role of the SCAD office is to connect the students & alumni with a wide range of career opportunities, yet it is up to every employer to choose the candidate who best fit the selection criteria.

12 Does the SCAD office help with CV/Resume writing?

Yes, we offer CV/Resume reviews upon request. For more information, please click on the “Students” tab to request an appointment or join us at our upcoming events where these services are offered.

13 Can I apply to the same vacancy twice?

No, you can only apply once.

14 Is there a limit for the number of opportunities I can apply to?

No, there is no limit.

15 If I updated my CV, will the employers have the most updated version?

This depends on the time that the employers will collect/download the CVs, hence we advise all applicants to review their CVs before uploading it.

16 Can I get contact information for the employers?

Regretfully, we do not share the employers contact information.

Employer:

17 How do I announce job/internship openings to GUC students and alumni?

Employer can post their jobs and internships openings through our online portal, registration is required to be able to login and share your vacancies.

18 Can I download the CVs/data of any GUC student/graduate?

No, you have access to only those who applied to your vacancies.

19 How to register our company in the employment fair?

Please e-mail us on scad.fair@guc.edu.eg for further details.

20 We need to get in touch with the career center “SCAD” team to discuss further collaboration opportunities, who can we connect with?

For any inquires related to the fair, you can get in touch with The Student Career & Alumni Development - SCAD - Office team on scad.fair@guc.edu.eg to provide you with more details regarding the Fair and other career services.

Students Internships:

21 Is an internship obligatory to graduate? And where can I find its guidelines?

Yes, completing the required internship duration is a requirement for graduation. The link to the internship guidelines is available on the “Students” tab on SCAD Career Portal and also available on the intranet.

22 Can I submit my internship evaluation form here?

No, the internship is not submitted here, it is submitted on the Internship Submission Link, please follow the link shared in our official internship submission e-mail.

23 When can I submit my internship?

There are two official cycles for submission throughout the academic year: one at the beginning of the Fall/Winter semester and one at the beginning of the Spring semester. We announce via email when each cycle opens, so be sure to check your inbox for updates! Always ensure submitting your documents in the cycle following the completion of the internship.

24 Where can I find the status of my internship submission?

The status is updated on the “Students Portal”.

25 How do I request a support letter?

Support letters are provided upon a student's request. Please click on the “Students” tab for more information.

Alumni

26 How do I issue my Alumni ID?

You need to visit the SCAD office from Sunday to Thursday to fill out the request form. After that, please email us with the subject line containing your name and ID number, along with a photo of yourself against a white background in 4x6 dimensions. Then, wait for an email from us notifying you when it’s ready for pickup, and you can come pick it.

27 How can I update my contact information in the alumni database?

You can update your contact information by contacting us at alumni@guc.edu.eg with a request to update your details or visit the “Alumni” tab on SCAD Career Portal for the link.

28 What benefits do I receive with my alumni ID?

With your alumni ID, you can access the university and library, and benefit from the WIR - GUC loyalty program, offering a range of exclusive discounts for GUC students, alumni, and staff across various brands.

29 How to issue a graduation certificate / transcript? And how long does it take?

Visit the GUC graduation office in B4 – ground floor, you can request it in person or through an authorized person, you should fill the request, pay the associated issuance fees at the financial affairs office “same building”, then submit the form back to the graduation office.

It takes from 10 to 15 working days for the issuance, depending on the type of the requested document.
